I Switched To A Shampoo & Conditioner Bar For A Month - Here's My Verdict

I've trialled every shampoo and conditioner under the sun, but never in the form of a bar! Are shampoo bars worth it? After using one for a month, I'll never go back.

Week One & Two

My initial impressions were great – from opening the products to using them! I loved the compostable packaging and used the inner sleeve to house the bars in my shower (would definitely recommend investing in a soap holder or an in-shower container).

They were quick to lather and a little went such a long way! After the first wash, my hair felt hydrated and clean without feeling stripped, and the conditioner immediately softened my hair.

Since I didn't have plastic packaging to read, the different coloured bars helped to remember which was shampoo and conditioner.

Week Three & Four

I am officially in love with using shampoo and conditioner bars.

I was seeing less flyaways and lasted longer between washes without my hair becoming disgustingly greasy. Whether I chose to air or blow dry my hair, it became more manageable and had the volume that I'd been chasing.

The biggest plus? I could see and control how much product I was using. In the month I'd been using them, it felt like I barely made a dent. They looked as good as the day I opened them!

The Verdict

If it wasn't already clear, I think you should make the switch and try shampoo and conditioner bars for yourself!
