Run clubs are having a moment, and after joining one myself, I get it.
You definitely don’t have to consider yourself a “runner” to turn up. I like that it gives me a different way to catch up with friends while also getting outside and moving. It doesn’t have to be about running your fastest time or taking it too seriously either. Walk a section, chat most of the way, then grab a coffee or matcha afterwards.
What’s in my run club routine?

Before: SPF, always. If I’m heading out in the morning, INIKA Tinted Natural Sunscreen SPF50 is one of my favourites. I love that it gives me SPF50 protection while also leaving a really nice glowy tint, so I feel a little more put together without actually having to do much.
During: Running, chatting, forgetting we’re meant to be running.
Honestly, this is probably my favourite part. You’re getting the movement in, but it still feels like catching up with friends rather than just ticking off a workout.
After: Coffee first, obviously. If I’m having mine over ice, I’ll mix in Chief Grass-Fed Collagen Protein Powder in Dark Chocolate and turn it into an easy iced mocha-style drink.
Ready to find your own?
If run club has been sitting somewhere on your “I should try that” list, consider this your sign.
You don’t need to be fast. You don’t need to know anyone. And you definitely don’t need to call yourself a runner.
Just turn up and see how you go.
