Acure Natural Hair Care Review

The rain this week especially has not been doing our hair any favours so we asked the gorgeous Estelle to review the Acure Argan Oil Shampoo, Conditioner and Leave-in-Conditioner from our range of Natural hair products.

As I have dry, frizzy hair with some sun/colour damage so I'm always on the look out for something to try and tame it and I was super excited to try the Acure Lemongrass and Argan Stem Cell Shampoo and Conditioner, and the Stem Cell leave in Conditioner.

Firstly I washed my hair as normal using the shampoo, being sure to thoroughly rinse it all out, then followed with the conditioner, I used a small amount on my scalp and then applied more on my ends. After letting it soak in after about 1-2 minutes I rinsed it out.

Then, as per the instructions of the leave in Conditioner, I sprayed it evenly my wet hair and then brushed it through. The smell was light, fresh, and clean, nothing to strong or pungent. The next thing I noticed was the lovely light texture, other mainstream products I have used in the past have been heavy and sticky and often hard to work into the hair, this was the complete opposite, it was truly weightless.

However, as my hair is so long and unmanageable I did find that I needed to use a lot of it, which I was weary about at first as when I have used other similar products if you use even a little too much you are left with some "sticky" strands of hair after blow drying, but after giving a light blow dry, like I usually do, I found no "stickyness" which was great.

The texture of my hair, particularly at the ends was feeling smooth and feeling, which is a new feeling for me! And I still felt like my hair was light and had nice movement where as similar products I have used in the past do tend to weigh the hair down or leave it lying flat.

A great result in the end! I will definitely be using this product again. In the past I have associated leave in conditioners with people (such as myself!) who have thick, unmanageable hair, however as the texture of this product is so light weight I would also recommend it for people with finer hair too to add some moisture without leaving it feeling heavy or greasy.
