Natural Remedies for Heartburn Relief

Something I am often asked about is how to get rid of heartburn naturally. Because heartburn is actually very common and is something that often affects the whole family, with the help our Nourished Life Naturopath Mel I wanted to share some of her favourite natural heartburn remedies. While there is no natural cure for heartburn, some natural supplements and herbal teas may help while also maintaining other aspects of your wellbeing such as general gut health. What causes heartburn?

To treat and find relief from heartburn, it's important to first understand what causes it. Heartburn, also known as indigestion or acid reflux, often occurs when we eat too much too quickly. The contents of your stomach, including the acids which break down food, can actually rise back up into the oesophagus (our "food pipe") and cause an uncomfortable burning sensation in the chest. This discomfort is temporary but if you suffer from heartburn after each meal it can become inconvenient and frustrating. It's also known to occur after indulging in too much coffee or alcohol, and may even be exacerbated by anxiety and stress. Natural remedies for acid reflux and heartburn

As recommended by our Naturopath Mel, the Frank Simple Apple Cider Vinegar Capsules may be an effective natural remedy for heartburn.
