Ratanhia is a shrub that grows native to the Andes Mountains in Bolivia and Peru. The roots of this plant have historically been used by the natives of Bolivia and Peru to care for their teeth and strengthen their gums. It is rich in tannins and contains astringent and toning properties known to easing inflammation, redness and infection.
