Diffuser: Add 6-8 drops to your diffuser.
Quick fix: A few deep inhalations from the bottle can help when you are at work, in the car or anytime you need a quick break.
Shower: Add 2-3 drops to the corner of the shower.
Bath: Add 2-3 drops to a dispersant such as oil, then add to the bath.
Topically: Mix 1 drop with 5ml carrier oil and apply to wrists, chest or back of the neck.
Hand or foot bath: Add 2 drops to a bowl of water to treat nail and fungal infections.
Compress: Add 2 drops to a bowl of water. For treating inflammation or to cool down, use cold to room temperature water. For aching tight muscles, use warm to hot water. Agitate a face washer in the water, wring out excess moisture, and apply the washer to the affected area. Repeat two or three times as the compress cools down or warms up.
Steam treatment: Add 2 drops to a bowl of steaming hot water. Place your face close to the bowl and cover the back of your head and bowl with a towel to trap the aromatic vapours. Keep eyes covered during treatment to avoid the risk of burns and scalding.
Washing: Add 8 drops to the washing machine before commencing cycle.
Cleaning: Add 1-2 drops on a cleaning cloth for surface spot cleaning.
Surface disinfectant: Add up to 40 drops in 250ml of water in a spray bottle.
In a blend, eucalyptus should be no more than 20% of the essential oil content. For example, in 10 drops of essential oil, only 2 drops should be eucalyptus.
Is this suitable for use during pregnancy?
Not recommended for use during pregnancy. Avoid using essential oils during the first trimester unless you are under the supervision of a qualified practitioner.
Is this suitable for children?
Keep out of reach of children. Research has shown that exposure to eucalyptus oil before the age of 2 years old can have negative effects on the respiratory and nervous systems. Essential oils are considered too strong for use on babies' skin (0-24 months) and can be overwhelming for their developing systems. When using in a diffuser, use fewer drops than you would for an adult (e.g. 2-3 drops).
Is this suitable to use around pets?
Not recommended for use around pets.
Can this oil be ingested?
Not to be taken.
