Certified Cruelty Free
We look closely at the ethical stance of all the brands we stock, and this includes their position on animal testing. Our extensive range of certified cruelty-free skincare, beauty and household products can be found by selecting 'certified cruelty free' from the filter at the top of each section of our website. A number of national and international organisations provide cruelty-free certification, enabling consumers to make informed choices that align with their values. We've provided some background to three of these organisations below: PETA, the Leaping Bunny Standard and CCF. You'll find their logos alongside products certified cruelty-free, so at Nourished Life you can shop with a clear conscience.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is a UK-based organisation that believes animals are not ours to use for food, clothing, experimentation or entertainment. They operate worldwide, accrediting companies that do not conduct or commission animal testing on ingredients, formulations or finished products. In the mid-1990s, eight national animal protection groups in the USA banded together to form the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC). From this came the internationally recognised Leaping Bunny logo. Wherever you see this logo, you can be sure that the product is guaranteed to be 100% free of new animal testing. Choose Cruelty Free (CCF) is an Australian non-profit organisation that actively campaigns for an end to animal testing in beauty and household products. The CCF accreditation criteria is stringent, and includes a strict policy on animal-derived ingredients.
