What it does

Geranium is a common garden plant has a cooling and calming effect on the skin, making it great for balancing combination complexions.
Geranium essential oil is also a great natural cleanser as well as a cicatrisant which means it helps scars fade away gradually and reduce pigmentation.

What it does

Glycolic acid is a type of AHA, derived from sugar cane. It's a highly effective natural exfoliant because it has the lowest molecular weight making it the most effective in penetrating the skin. Glycolic Acid breaks down dead skin cells therefore increasing cell turnover, resulting in more youthful looking skin.

What it does

Goji berries (Lycium barbarum) are one of the most nutritional fruit on the planet. Native to the Himalayan Mountains of Tibet and Mongolia. The goji berry is an amazing superfood, providing a rich source of vitamin C and powerful antioxidant benefits to the body. With 500 times more vitamin C than oranges, these powerful berries are also an excellent source of Vitamin A, B1, B2, B6, and E.

They also contain natural anti-inflammatory properties. In traditional Chinese medicine, this fruit is said to help with lower back pain, dizziness and eyesight. These are delicious eaten raw, added to teas, soups, cereal and muffins.

What it does

Gotu Kola is a member of the parsley family and has long been used in traditional Chinese medicine and ayurveda (the traditional medicine of India) to heal skin conditions such as psoriasis, minor burns, scarring and stretch marks.

It has no taste or smell and thrives in and around water. It has small fan-shaped green leaves with white or light purple-to-pink flowers, and small oval fruit.

When applied to the skin, gotu kola has been shown to increase the strength of the dermis and promote healing, support collagen production as well as enhance production of mucin, hyaluronic acid, and chondroitin sulphate, which are required for skin, hair and nail repair and growth.

It is also an anti-inflammatory and reduces scarring.

What it does

Grapefruit is often referred to as the "fruit of paradise" for its health and beauty benefits. They contain high amount of Vitamin A and C, minerals and antioxidants that benefit the skin through consumption and topically.
The vitamin C and the antioxidants in grapefruits protect the skin from damaging free radicals and also stimulates the production of collagen gives smoothness and elasticity to the skin. The retinol antioxidant softens the skin renews damaged skin and treats pigmentation.
The potassium grapefruit also helps to smooth wrinkles and age spots and provides a natural protective shield against UV rays.

What it does

Green coffee beans are unroasted seeds of the plant Coffea Arabica. During roasting, the natural antioxidants in the coffee beans are removed, but as green coffee beans do not go through this process, they retain their high levels of antioxidants.

Green coffee beans are proven to significantly improve collagen and elastin production, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles whilst also supporting the skin's structure to retain moisture for firmer, glowing skin.
Their high concentration of chlorgenic acid also reduces redness and puffiness associated with excessive sunlight exposure.

Green coffee beans are also rich in fatty acids and esters including Arahidic Acid, Linoleic Acid and Oleic Acid, which moisturise the skin, stops sagging and reduce discolouration.

Green tea is a powerful brew because it is brimming with antioxidants. The Chinese clearly had their finger on the pulse when they started drinking it centuries ago. It is particularly rich in polyphenols, catechins and EGCG, all of which have a host of health benefits.

If you're going to drink one organic herbal tea, make it green. Green tea not only detoxifies the body from free radicals – the nasties that cause chronic disease – but it is also a major fat burner. Along with accelerating weight loss, it blocks cholesterol, stabilises blood pressure, and helps ward off viruses. It is known for boosting energy and the metabolism. However, a cup of green tea contains about 20 grams of caffeine, so limit yourself to 3-4 cups a day.

When applied topically, jasmine green tea is also a beautifying product. It can soothe sunburn, reduce puffy eyes, shrink pores, and add shine to dull or lacklustre hair.
