If there's one body moisturiser to do it all, it has to be the one and only Weleda Skin Food. A must have in your handbag, the bathroom and the car, I call it my little green tube of magic because it can do almost anything. They call it Skin Food because it actually feeds your skin with natural, nourishing goodness! Loved by celebrities and makeup artists all over the world, this multitasking moisturiser can be used for anything from a makeup primer to a healing cream for irritating skin conditions. Can you believe it's actually been around since 1926?

With gentle, plant-based, botanical ingredients including soothing Chamomile, Calendula and Rosemary as well as nourishing Sweet Almond Oil, Beeswax and Sunflower Oil, this German made, multi-purpose skin cream is anti-inflammatory, circulation boosting and deeply moisturising, helping to support the skin's natural balance and provide calming relief from irritation and soreness. This nourishing cream has an endless multitude of uses, but here are my Top 10 favourite ways to use Skin Food.

1. Makeup primer

Ideal as a priming facial moisturiser before mineral foundation application, Skin Food can be used to create a flawless, hydrated base to help your makeup last longer. Pat a thin layer over your face, allow to soak in, then use your favourite makeup brush to buff in your mineral foundation over the top for dewy, long-lasting full coverage.

2. Soothing eye cream

If you're like me and you can never seem to get quite enough sleep, Skin Food can help reduce puffiness by rehydrating and replenishing the area under your eyes. Just pat some around the eye area over your daily moisturiser for an extra boost of moisture which lasts all day long.

3. Lip balm

Whether it be from exposure to harsh weather conditions or just being sick, the lips and nose can dry out and become sore, inflamed and cracked. If your nose and lips get dry or chapped, apply some Skin Food to the affected area to help heal and moisturise the area super fast and speed up the skin's regeneration process.

4. Cuticle cream

A rich and rejuvenating hand and nail cream, Skin Food helps to nourish the cuticles and encourage healthy nail growth. This deeply moisturising cream is also great to keep your hands from drying out after doing the dishes or due to air conditioning. Just massage a little into your hands and nails a few times a day or last thing before bed, enjoy the beautiful natural aroma, and see how smooth and healthy your hands and nails look after use.

5. Barrier cream

Fake tanning often calls for a good barrier cream to prevent dark patches. Massage a little Skin Food into those dry areas that go way too dark when we self tan, like the knees, elbows and ankles. Thanks to the natural Beeswax found in this soothing formula, when you apply the fake tan over the top you'll find those dry areas blend perfectly into the rest of your skin without any dark patches.

6. Highlighter

Thanks to its richly hydrating ingredients such as Sunflower and Sweet Almond Oils, Skin Food also makes a perfectly natural looking highlighter. Apply to the cheekbones, brow bone and nose after applying liquid foundation or tinted moisturiser for a healthy, dewy glow that catches the light and gives you that extra boost of radiance.

7. Face mask

Soothing Chamomile and Calendula make Skin Food an ideal cream-based face mask to help replenish damaged, dehydrated and irritated skin. Apply a thick layer to the face and neck and allow to sink in, then remove with a damp muslin cloth. Your skin will feel soft, supple and perfectly moisturised! This is a wonderful relaxing facial treatment to do while you're in the bath.

8. Hair serum

If your hair is dry and damaged due to heat styling, this hydrating cream can be applied sparingly to the ends and through the lengths of damp hair to help restore moisture. Ideal for bringing life back to dull hair, Skin Food can help prevent split ends and promote healthy, bouncy locks.

9. Foot cream

Perfect for the dry, rough and hardened skin on the soles of our feet, Skin Food can help to soften toughened skin and heal cracked heels. Great as a rich overnight treatment, slather this nourishing cream all over the feet, put on some socks and let it work its magic while you sleep.

10. Cracked skin treatment

Healing and restorative, this gorgeous cream is great for soothing scraped knees and cracked elbows, helping to replenish moisture to those dry, rough and cracked areas and give the skin's healing process a helping hand. Apply nightly to affected areas to keep them smooth, soft and hydrated and help prevent conditions from worsening.
