Our Top Must-Try Vegan Makeup Brands

To help you build your vegan beauty collection with ease, I've compiled a list of some of my all-time favourite vegan makeup brands. I reach for products from these brands every single day, without fail, and you can shop them all right here on Nourished Life.

Eco Minerals

Not only vegan but also environmentally friendly, Eco Minerals offer refills for their powder products in order to minimise waste from product packaging. Made in Byron Bay and founded by Luci Scarman (who has a Masters in nutrition and a science degree), this is one of my favourite vegan makeup brands and my go-to for vegan-friendly makeup brushes.

The brand's Super Soft Foundation Brush is one of my favourite vegan-friendly makeup brushes for applying powder foundations, bronzer and blushes. I also love the Eco Minerals Flawless Foundation and Eco Refill Sachets when I want my skin to look flawless but feel like I'm wearing no makeup at all!

Lily Lolo Mineral Cosmetics

Lily Lolo are a British mineral makeup brand who make my favourite vegan eyeshadows and eyeshadow palettes. Their colour range is amazing, their products are such high quality and their formulas are all made from minerals but they don't sacrifice on depth of pigment.

For everyday wear, I'll usually reach for the Mineral Eyeshadow in Smoky Brown (a loose eyeshadow powder) and Pressed Eyeshadow in Stark Naked (a pressed powder compact), but for a pop of colour I love the Mineral Eyeshadow in Pixie Sparkle- a beautiful, vibrant, sparkling teal.

If you're new to vegan makeup, I recommend the Eye Palette in Pedal to the Metal as it contains eight neutral shades in a number of finishes, so you've got all bases, occasions and looks covered.

Nails by Nourished Life

Traditional nail polishes contain so many harsh chemicals and very few are vegan friendly, which is why we developed Nails by Nourished Life. This will no doubt sound biased, but these really are some of the best vegan nail polishes I've ever used. The shade range has something for literally everyone- my favourites are Flashdance, a neutral pink with a pearlescent sheen, No Place Like Home, a metallic ruby red, and The Upside Down, a deep, dark purple.

For a real salon-quality manicure, I prep my nails using the Nails by Nourished Life Base Coat before applying any coloured polish. When I'm ready for a new colour, I always use the Life Basics Nail Polish Remover to remove the old polish without damaging my nails.

Ere Perez

Ere Perez' vegan makeup products are an absolute must in any beauty lover's kit- her formulas are all natural, look and feel beautiful on the skin, and are great for our planet. Ere is famous for her Avocado Volumising Waterproof Mascara as it's entirely sweat, swim and party proof (qualities that are so hard to find in a natural, vegan-friendly mascara formula!), but I also love the Carrot Colour Pot and Beetroot Cheek & Lip Tint as they're such perfect multi-tasking on-the-go products.

Hurraw! Organic Lip Balms

I will always feel sentimental about Hurraw!, as they were the very first brand I ever stocked on Nourished Life! Nostalgia aside, I really do believe that Hurraw!'s range of Organic Lip Balms are some of the best I have ever used. Their range is vegan and natural and made from fair-trade, raw ingredients, plus each balm is individually poured into its pocket-sized tube so you can keep your lips looking and feeling beautiful on-the-go.
