Natural Mascara Review

Finding the right mascara for your lashes, eye shape and lifestyle can be more a challenge than we realise. The shape of your eyes, how your lashes do or do not curl, your lash colour and length all play a part in how effective a mascara is.

To help you decide, we asked lash addict Estelle to do a review of our top 3 favourite mascaras: the Lavera Volumising mascara, the infamous 100% Pure Black Tea Pigmented Lengthening Mascara and the Nvey Eco Volumising Mascara.

Lavera Volumising Mascara
The Lavera Volumising Mascara had an amazing smell, so fresh and clean! I found the texture to be soft and lightweight, which did mean that I had to apply three layers however I was very pleased with the results, my lashes were fanned out, thick looking and longer.
But the best thing of all...no clumps or cracked effect! The application was very smooth and not messy at all, it did not smudge nor crumble below my eyes. At the end of a long day I did find that my lashes looked a little dried out, however not enough to put me off wearing this again as it provided a great day time glamorous look.

100% Pure Black Tea Pigmented Ultra Lengthening Mascara
I was mega excited to try the 100% Pure Black Tea Pigmented Ultra Lengthening Mascara as I've heard so much about it - and I was not disappointed!
After just one coat my lashes were instantly lengthened and had a gorgeous glossy look to them! I found one coat was all I needed for a long pretty lash effect, however it is possible to layer without clumping, so a more dramatic effect can be achieved if desired.

I was a little worried about smudging throughout the day due to the glossy texture however I had no problems with this. At the end of the day the mascara looked like it had been freshly applied! My lashes looked hydrated and still had their extra length.
I've worn this everyday since trying it out! I love it!

Nvey Eco Volumising Mascara
The first thing I noticed about the Nvey Eco Volumising Mascara was the silky texture, making the application smooth and clump free.
It separated my lashes out nicely and worked really well at bringing out my corner lashes. Two coats left me with quite a glamorous look! My lashes were thick, defined and even curled!
I felt this mascara layered up very well, another coat could have easily been added without leaving clumps or looking cracked. It would be perfect for a night out!
I did not experience any smudging or crumbling below my eye, in fact the staying power was so good that it took little extra time to remove.

Although the Lavera mascara was volumising and smooth, the Nvey Eco curling and smudge-proof, the winner has definitely got to be the 100% Pure Mascara – it did all these things as well as lengthen my lashes and the texture and smell are just amazing! Plus it's only $24.95!
